For this project, we worked again with another homeowner to permit and perch an existing sloped beach area that had been an ongoing maintenance problem with erosion of the beach sand into the lake. We were able to permit to reduce the grandfathered sloped beach area and replace it with a terraced beach and patio area (reducing the grandfathered beach sand area). This photo shows the perched beach wall and terrace wall upslope of the beach area. Behind the terrace wall is a permeable paver patio giving the homeowners a much more useable space with much less maintenance issues.
For this project, we worked with homeowners to permit and complete a perched beach wall in New Durham. This consisted of perching an existing sloped beach that had been a continuing problem for the home owners with sand loss and rock deposits from spring ice. The perched beach wall was constructed with lake access steps and now provides the homeowners with a clean, low maintenance beach for them to enjoy.
For this project, we worked with homeowners to permit and complete a shoreline restoration project in Wolfeboro. This consisted of the removal of a deteriorated concrete wall and the placement of natural stone laid on a slope to protect the shoreline from further erosion and aesthetically match the natural surrounding shorelines.
